Tweakings before the [big] launch...

Hello, dear Math people!

As you may have known, we have announced that the site will be launched soon. As such, some minor configurations on who can see certain forums (especially for guests).

Also, the rules had a bit of a facelift - both on content and style (note the bold text to distinguish between essence and explanation of a rule). Also, it has been updated to cope with the changes made in this board. And according to one of our co-founders, the same had been for the Home Site.

Heard of a forum portal? Main topics, updates, a list of top posters, and the works. Perhaps we can implement that pretty much later, especially if we have a lot of members. This forum is still at its infancy. Complementing to this would be some consideration of better styles.

As for memberships, we will need some moderators once the community gets bigger in population. We need some who are willing to monitor usergroup activity, and some who are willing to monitor forum activity (there will be many needed to moderate many topics).

If you have noticed in the main page earlier, the Mathematics Faculty has been defined as a group. However, we are still in the process of inviting them. So, as of now, that group has been deleted and will be recreated if ever some faculty members can join. More groups will be added whenever more newer members (MMC and non-MMC people) arrive.

Oh, and being a forum board site, we have rigged up another forum in the Lounge. Behold: Candid Talk, for math fun stuff. Got some math jokes or puns, or would you like to share (and react on) a quote - perhaps from a Mathematician? You know... all those stuff.
